“Up to 16 hours of high impact endless color – kiss proof, food proof and transfer proof. Lips feel smooth and moisturized all day long!”
Seems to be the perfect lipstick for Valentines Day! Let’s find out.
Packaging

It’s a two step product. One end contains the liquid lipstick, while the other end contains a moisturizing, non-sticky gloss. The lipstick side gives you a pretty close idea of what the actual shade looks like. Both ends have a doe-foot applicator for an easy application.
I really like the packaging as it is also very travel-friendly.
Color selection
I’ve tested these 5 shades:

- 110 – Dare To Pink: light, peachy pink
- 700 – Skinny Dipping: brown nude
- 200 – I’ll Call You: cool toned medium pink
- 500 – Kiss Me You Fool: intense red with a warm undertone
- 550 – Play with Fire: dark red with a cool undertone
On rimmellondon.com there are actually 16 shades to choose from – so there will definitely be a shade for everyone.
Let’s have a look at the lip swatches.

Application
How To Apply
Step 1: Apply color and keep lips apart for 60 seconds until the product sets.
*Directions taken from rimmellondon.com
Step 2: Apply topcoat to lock the colour, moisture and add shine.
If you follow these directions all of the shades (apart from “Dare to Pink” and “Skinny Dipping”) apply perfectly even and opaque with just one coat. I really enjoy adding the gloss on top. It is not sticky at all and feels really moisturizing.
I am completely obsessed with the darker shades I have tried. They all applied perfectly.
The lighter shades however didn’t really impress me. Especially “Dare to Pink” applies really streaky and settles into every fine line which makes the lips look extremely chapped. You can also see that in my lip swatches pretty well. “Skinny Dipping” is also a little harder to work with but unlike “Dare to Pink” you can make it work.
“Kiss Me You Fool”, “Play With Fire” and “l’ll Call You” applied like a dream.
Staying Power & Wearing Comfort (Wear-Test)

The staying power is absolutely incredible. The “up to 16 hours of high impact endless color” promise is actually no exaggeration at all. I wouldn’t even usually wear a lipstick for that long as most lipsticks start to dry out my lips after about 5 hours. This is why I am so obsessed with the gloss part which you can reapply whenever your lips start to feel dry. However I actually only had to reapply the gloss once after about 7 hours. After reapplying the lips felt moisturized for at least another 6 hours.
I’ve worn the shade “Kiss Me You Fool” for a total of 13 hours. The lipstick looked – even after 3 meals and lots of snacks – almost identical to when I first applied it! Only a little bit at the center of the lips came off.
Conclusion:
I am really impressed with the staying power. Finally a lipstick where you don’t have to worry about it getting all over your teeth. Perfect for a night out or – keeping the current situation in mind – it’s also the perfect lipstick to be worn under a mask.
Even though the lighter shades couldn’t win me over I am obsessed with the darker shades. “Kiss Me You Fool”, “Play With Fire” and “l’ll Call You” applied perfectly even and did not budge at all. And the best part: They don’t dry out your lips!
Ich actually hope that Rimmel will come out with the gloss seperately. On the one hand you apply this side more often and on the other hand you actually get less product. The gloss part contains 0.10 fl oz/3ml whereas the lipstick part contains 0.14fl oz/4ml.
In Switzerland you can order them directly on Parfumcity.
If you are looking for a long wearing liquid lipstick then these are definitely worth checking out. The quality is amazing and the price is extremely affordable compared to similar lipsticks. The provocalips retail for about $7.
