Since I’m a sucker for cute packaging, Korean Beauty products always spoke to me. But believe it or not – I never actually tried a Korean Beauty Brand before!
Luckily some weeks ago, Anna from Niasha reached out to me and offered me to try some of her products. Thanks again for being so kind to me!
I chose these two cute little mushrooms because I heard lots of people rave about Korean skin care products.
But let me give you a little overview about Niasha first!
Niasha – Korean Home Spa
- Korean Beauty Online Shop
- based in Switzerland
- shipping within Europe
- carrying hundreds of products from 30 different brands (including Tony Moly, Skinfood & Etude House)
- amazing prices
- fast delivery
- and last but not least, they include samples with every order – yay!
Alright, now that you know where to get some amazing Korean beauty and skin care products, let’s have a closer look at the ones I tried.
Logically most of the information on the packaging is in Korean but I found all the details about the products on either Niasha or TonymolyUS.
Magic Food Strawberry Mushroom Sugar Scrub
If you love Strawberries you’ll be in heaven if you open this up. Yes – there are lots of strawberry scented products out there, but this one doesn’t have this awful fake strawberry scent, it smells just like a real one!
Tony Moly compares the texture to a Strawberry Smoothie, which is actually so true.
The scrub contains real strawberry seeds and sugar to effectively remove dead skin cells.
The only drawback is that the sugar gel texture can be quite messy to apply and you’ll have to clean your sink immediately because the scrub is really sticky.
I have combination skin that tends to be really dry on the cheeks. Lots of exfoliants leave my skin feeling really dry – but not this one!
The directions actually say to gently massage into dry skin using circular motions. For sensitive skin they recommend to apply it onto a moist face for a milder exfoliation. Since my skin can be pretty sensitive sometimes, I prefer to add some water and massage really gently. Otherwise my skin can get a little red and irritated.
However even if I apply it onto wet skin, it exfoliates my skin perfectly!
After using this scrub, my skin feels thoroughly clean and fresh. It leaves my skin feeling extremely smooth because it really does remove all the dead skin cells.

Magic Food Choco Mushroom Cream Pore Pack
Now this one is for all my chocolate lovers out there! I could honestly smell this all day! It feels, looks and smells just like melted chocolate!
It contains Ghassoul powder, Koalin, Mushroom and Cacao extracts to deeply cleanse pores and extract excess sebum that clog pores.
Since I’m a face mask junkie I have tried a lot of detox masks and unfortunately I have to say that I have tried better ones. It’s still a really good mask which makes the skin feel fresh and clean but it’s not as deep-cleansing as other masks I’ve tried.
Though a big plus with this mask is that it won’t leave your skin dry, which happens with lots of detox masks.
And of course the smell is unbeatable.
So overall it’s not the best pore cleansing mask I have ever tried, but it’s definitely the best smelling one!

4.6 out of 5!
In a nutshell:
The strawberry scrub immediately became one of my faves and the strawberry scent makes me so happy in the morning!
If you’re into chocolate and not looking for that deep deep-cleansing effect, I’d still give the Choco Mushroom a try!
Tony Moly Samples
Banana Hand Milk
To be completely honest with you I generally hate hand creams. I just don’t like the feeling of lotion on my hands. And I hate bananas, so I’m definitely biased and unfortunately not the best one to review this product.
However this hand lotion really impressed me. It absorbed really quickly and didn’t leave a greasy film on my hands. Yet it made my hands feel extremely smooth and moisturized.
Ferment Snail Cream
This is another little sample that suprised me a lot! Obviously it’s just a first impression but I’m already thinking of buying the full size even though it’s super expensive.
After just two uses (that’s how much I got out of the sample) my skin felt baby soft and looked brighter. It also performes amazingly under makeup because it doesn’t feel greasy and makes the skin feel super firm!

I love korean products and I think I bought first one 5-6 years ago. Tony molly is really a fun brand and I love that peeling 😀 My mom loves that banana hand cream (I got a sample and she fell in love so I had to buy it for her)
